Aluminum Tiles?
Yes, aluminum tiles. Functional and stylish. Here, with the old wall primed, you'll note that the place still looks like crap, mostly owing to the old glue and interesting choice of peach and black for the tiling job.

A 'Better' Look at the Tile
Now we've painted the walls a nice sage color. Or maybe lime popsicle, depending on your monitor settings. It does not go well with the tile. The tile must go.
