One more from our Portland vacation. Maybe someday I will look at the camera at the right time. Yet this looks good anyway. Max already looks older than this photo -- it was a couple months ago, I suppose -- and is now talking up a storm. He says, "raccoon," when he sees his book about baby animals, he says "Hi Yaya, hi Jenny," when you ask him about his day care teachers, and he says, "No work," when I leave in the morning.

He's also taken to standing at the coffee table and shuffling around. Walking should be just around the corner.

In other news, The Rock came to Framingham last week to film a movie. After a few days of false starts, someone convinced him to come talk to the kids at our school. He strode in to wild screaming, gave an assessment of our study habits ("Out of the thousands of kids I have met, you guys have the best study habits, hands down."), gave me a nice man-hug, and got back to the set in about 6 minutes. Just another day in principal world.
