Maine!

Every weekend, we say, "Man, I wish we had one more day." And this weekend, we had it. What did we do with it? Well, first, we went to Maine to Genevieve and Tom's new house. In Tuesday's picture, you can see Leah and Gen in front of the garage, putting together some deck chairs. They seem to be having a good time. I had a rotten cold, but I had a good time, too. Tom was in the backyard, making a patio.

On Monday, we had our prized extra day. Like many of you, we sanded and spackled the kitchen to repay our nation's men and women in uniform for their gift of freedom. Hedges were also pruned, in a patriotic manner. My heart swelled with pride, I will tell you that.
